TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – General elections will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 07:00 to 13:00 simultaneously throughout Indonesia. The problem arises when the candidate electorate suddenly fell ill, because of which he could not get to the polling station. Is the right to vote lost?
The answer is no. According to the Decree Communist Party of Ukraine No. 66/2024 regarding the Technical Instructions for Voting and Counting of Votes, it is stated that if the holder of voting rights is sick and undergoing treatment at home, which does not allow him to enter the DPS, this does not mean that his voting rights are lost.
In Section II regarding voting at the TPS, the CPC decision states that if there are voters who cannot vote at their original polling station because they are sick at home, the CPC staff will visit the person concerned so that they can exercise their right to vote. .
Two KPPS officers came to the sick voter’s home with dark plastic bags for ballot papers and other voting equipment.
This provision also applies to voters who are temporarily detained, hospitalized in hospitals or medical institutions, or who are accompanied by their families.
