Liputan6.com, Jakarta PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues to provide various assistance to the community through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This is an attempt to support achievements Goals of sustainable development (CSR), and also corresponds to the company’s focus on the implementation of principles Ecological, Socialand Corporative management (ESG) melalui program EXISTS (ESG Existence for Sustainability by Telkom Indonesia).
During 2023, the Telkom TJSL program will focus on three aspects, namely economic, social and environmental aspects. The implementation of the Telkom TJSL program on environmental aspects is consistent with the six points of the SDGS, which are divided into nine program forms.
The program namely electronic waste managementsynergy of environmentally conscious community programs, coral reef planting, mangrove planting, supported forest conservation, rehabilitation of unlivable houses (RTLH), Donation of electronic devices for education (Eduvice), help with clean water and repair of public toilets.
Assistance program for clean water facilities
Telkom’s clean water assistance program addresses SDG 6, namely clean water and related sanitation. Implementation of the program includes assistance with drilling wells and assistance with the plumbing of clean water sources. During 2023, Telkom implemented a clean water program in 74 locations across Indonesia.
“Through this program, Telkom hopes to provide easy access to clean water for people who often face drought. Telkom has also introduced a general MCK upgrade program for people with mismatched MCKs. “More than 300 heads of families in 79 settlements received benefits under this program,” he said.
Non-residential building restoration program
The program for the reconstruction of non-residential buildings (RTLH) corresponds to point 11 of the SDGs, namely, sustainable cities and settlements. RTLH’s surgical program helped 44 heads of families in several cities in Indonesia, such as Bandung, Makassar, Chianjur and Jakarta.
Electronic waste management
Through the program electronic waste management, which also corresponds to point 11 of the SDGs, Telkom managed to help the community with waste disposal in 11 locations. This program not only implements the 11th point of the SDGs, but also implements the 12th point of the SDGs, which is responsible consumption and production by establishing and socializing the realization electronic waste management.
