BANGLI, BALPOST.com – Two days before the polls, the Bangli General Election Commission (GEC) has started distributing election logistics to villages. On the first day, on Monday (12/2), logistical support was directed to 49 villages.
The distribution process was carried out using 20 vans and 1 pickup van. Logistics distribution is carried out from two KPU warehouses in the area of the Uma Bukal residential complex.
Before starting the distribution process, all logistics vehicles are checked for suitability. Checks were carried out by the transport service and the police in front of the monument to Northern Captain Mudita in Bangley Square.
Head of Police Public Relations, Bangli, Inspector I Wayan Sartha, said the checks carried out included a driver’s background check, including driving licence, vehicle registration certificate (STNK) and vehicle suitability test. “The inspection was carried out to minimize any disruption in the distribution of logistics for both PPK and PPS,” Sarta said.
He added that the distribution of material and technical support is closely monitored by the police. The aim is to ensure complete security of election logistics at the destination.
Bangli KPU Chairman I Kadek Adiawan said 49 villages in Bangli, Kintamani and Susut sub-districts were targeted on the first day of distribution of logistics. Especially in the Susut district, material and technical support is distributed among all villages.
His party aims to complete distribution of logistics to 72 villages/sub-districts in two days. Apart from using vans, Bangli KPU also uses a pick-up truck to send logistics to several villages where the routes are extreme and narrow. “We use self-pickup to deliver to the villages of Subaya and Belanding, as we see that the route is narrow and extreme,” he explained.
