We guarantee employment, and we do not invite disaster
Tarakan (ANTARA) – North Kalimantan Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang issued job security assurances from the Bureau of Employment Social Security (BPJS) for Polling Station (TPS) officers in Tarakan on Monday.
“We provide employment guarantees and we are not asking for disaster, but if something happens to the officers in TPS, we will cover it with BPJS Employment,” Zainal said.
So TPS officers in North Kalimantan already have social security while on duty.
Regarding this, BPJS Kalimantan Regional Employment Office Head Erfan Kurniawan said that TPS had about 19,000 officers who received BPJS employment guarantees from the North Kalimantan provincial government.
“We should really appreciate this, a governor who really cares about election workers, because we know that during the last election, many officials were affected by disasters,” Erfan said.
He revealed that the BPJS employment guarantee in North Kalimantan was new this year, there was no BPJS employment guarantee during the 2019 election and it was the first to be implemented in Kalimantan.
With the BPJS employment guarantee, we certainly do not expect this to happen again to polling officers in the 2019 elections.
“Thanks to the governor’s commitment, all the election organizers in North Kalimantan province have been protected and that is what we are really hoping for when the election officials are at work, at least we have prepared security from home to the polling stations,” he said.
Then enter the data, which takes a lot of time, and do not let TPP officers, who perform this noble task, go unnoticed by the state.
“That’s why we provide this protection in the form of the Occupational Safety and Death Guarantee Program. Through cooperation with the North Kalimantan provincial government,” he said.
Currently, BPJS Employment and KPU continue to collect data on the number of officers.
The protection fee is valid for up to two months and is 11,000 Indonesian rupiah per month.
