Thai customs officers display seized counterfeit luxury fashion items during a media preview for an upcoming “property rights-infringing goods destruction press conference” at the Customs Department in Bangkok yesterday. The Thai Customs Department is set to destroy 878,583 pieces of confiscated counterfeit and pirated goods, including clothes, luxury handbags, footwear and other items violating trademarks and logos. The goods also include illegal electronic cigarettes worth 8.3 million baht (US$231,200), the department said.
